Fast Track's Telegram Integration enables direct communication with players through Telegram, one of the world's most popular messaging platforms. Once set up, you can send targeted messages β€” including text, images, videos, and interactive buttons β€” directly from FT CRM, and segment players based on their Telegram status just like any other channel.

How It Works

The integration follows a simple three-step process:
  1. Setup β€” You create a Telegram bot and share the token with Fast Track.
  2. User Linking β€” Players click an invitation link in your campaigns, connecting their Telegram account to their CRM profile.
  3. Messaging β€” You create Activities in FT CRM that send messages to linked players via Telegram.
Fast Track handles everything in between: webhook processing, player data synchronisation, and message delivery.
The integration is currently send-only. Player replies to the bot are not processed as CRM events.

πŸš€ Getting Started

1. Create a Telegram Bot

Create a bot using Telegram's BotFather and obtain the bot token. This is your bot β€” you control its name, profile picture, and description as your players will see it.

2. Share the Bot Token

Provide the bot token to your Fast Track Partner Manager. Fast Track will then configure the integration, including:
  1. Registering the webhook so the bot can receive player interactions
  2. Setting up message delivery through the bot
  3. Enabling Telegram as a messaging channel for your brand
You'll be notified once configuration is complete and Telegram is ready to use.
For Player Origns environments (Multi-Brand), we recommend one bot token per brand.
Telegram must be enabled for your brand before you can use the Telegram Direct Message Action in FT CRM. Contact your Integration Manager to get started.

Linking Players

For Telegram messaging to work, players must first link their Telegram account to their CRM profile. This is done through a personalised invitation link that you distribute via your existing campaigns.
Players must initiate the link themselves by clicking the invitation link and tapping Start in Telegram. Telegram does not allow bots to message players without prior interaction β€” there is no way to bypass this requirement.

Invitation Link Format

Here is how the link should be formatted when added to your communication in Fast Track: https://t.me/{YourBotUsername}?start=#UserID#_#PlayerOriginId#
Replace {YourBotUsername} with your bot's Telegram username.
Here's an example of how a link may look like for the player: https://t.me/AcmeCasinoBot?start=12345_1
Each invitation link must include a unique CRM User ID. Without it, Fast Track cannot identify the player and the link will not work.

Distributing the Link

Add the invitation link to any campaign or communication you already run, e.g. through Email, SMS, Push Notifications, Landing Pages or On Site Messaging.

What Happens When a Player Clicks

  1. The player opens Telegram (or is prompted to install it).
  2. They see your bot and tap Start.
  3. Fast Track receives the interaction, identifies the player, and links their Telegram account to their CRM profile.
  4. Depending on your configuration, one of two linking modes applies.

Linking Modes

Your preferred linking mode is configured during the initial setup in coordination with your Partner Manager.

Direct Linking

For partners who prefer a frictionless experience, direct linking activates the Telegram connection immediately when the player clicks Start β€” no additional verification required.
The player's Telegram ID is recorded and activated in a single step (telegram_enabled = true), making them immediately available for Telegram messaging campaigns.

Two-Step Verification

This is the recommended mode for partners who want an additional layer of identity verification before fully activating the Telegram link.
When a player clicks Start, their Telegram ID is recorded in the CRM but remains inactive (telegram_enabled = false). A customisable verification step is then triggered automatically β€” by default, this sends a confirmation message via SMS or email to the player's registered contact details.
The Telegram link is only fully activated once the player completes verification, ensuring the Telegram account genuinely belongs to the player associated with that CRM profile.
Until verification is complete, the player's telegram_enabled value remains false and they will not receive Telegram messages from your Activities.

Monitoring Linked Players

You can track how many players have successfully linked their Telegram accounts by creating a Segment with the following conditions:
  1. telegram_id is not null
  2. telegram_enabled equals true
This Segment can be used both for monitoring adoption and for targeting Activities β€” for example, sending a welcome message to all newly linked players or running Telegram-exclusive campaigns.

Delivery Data

We support fetching the following delivery data from your Telegram:
  1. Delivered
  2. Not Delivered
  3. Clicked
There is no additional setup required, Fast Track will retrieve these statuses from your Telegram Bot through the Bot Token already provided.

Advanced Configuration

Multiple Bots per Brand

Fast Track supports configuring multiple Telegram bots within the same brand, each mapped to a specific Origin. This allows you to maintain separate bot identities for different segments of your audience β€” for example, a dedicated bot per website, product vertical, or geographic region.
Each bot operates independently with its own token, rate limits, and messaging pipeline. Players are automatically routed to the correct bot based on their Origin, ensuring a consistent and personalised experience.
Contact your Integration Manager to configure multiple bot Origins for your brand.

Message Throughput & Premium Bots

By default, Fast Track manages message delivery within Telegram's standard rate limits for regular bots (approximately 30 messages per second). This is handled automatically β€” messages are queued and delivered at a steady pace without any action required on your side.
For brands with larger audiences or time-sensitive campaigns that require higher throughput, we recommend upgrading to a Telegram Premium bot. Premium bots benefit from significantly higher rate limits granted by Telegram, allowing faster delivery across large player bases.
A Telegram Premium bot is required for high-throughput campaigns. Once your bot has been granted premium status by Telegram, notify your Partner Manager so Fast Track can update the delivery configuration accordingly.
