🚀 Getting started with your Christmas Calendar

Welcome and thank you for participating in our Christmas Calendar Promotion. Rewards is now implemented in your environment. The Calendar template is there, so are all the different Bonus and Challenge templates… now what? Well, there is some groundwork that you need to cover before your players can start experiencing a gamified Holiday season!
Keep on reading, this guide will tell you everything you need to know and anything you need to work on.

Setup Checklist

  1. Enabling Rewards (testing & go-live)

Front-End Integration

You can configure Rewards as much as you want, but it won’t matter if players can’t see it. Integrating Rewards into your front end is the essential first step. To do this, someone from your Tech/Integration team will need to handle the integration process.
The exact process may vary depending on whether you’ve already integrated the Fast Track Front-End JavaScript SDK (usually the same integration required for using the On-Site Notification action).
  1. If you’ve already completed this integration, follow this guide
  2. If you need to integrate from scratch, follow this guide
Tip: If your integration is complete but Rewards isn’t visible on your front end yet, don’t worry! You’ll also need to finish the setup in the back office, including enabling Rewards visibility on your site.

Rewards FX rate setup (optional)

If you are using more than one currency, and you want your Challenges to work across currencies, please head to Settings (in the side menu) → Currencies.
On this page, all the currencies used on your site will automatically populate. Your task is to define the exchange rate for each listed currency in relation to your Base Currency.
This setup step is crucial, as these exchange rates are automatically applied to Wagering and Deposit Challenges, which will be used in 17 out of 31 days of the Christmas Calendar (unless changed, of course). Read more about this step here.

Configure Bonuses in your Bonus Platform

On your Bonus Platform, set up the Bonuses that will be granted to players after they interact with Rewards and the Calendar, just like when you credit bonuses for campaigns in Fast Track CRM. You will need to set up a bonus for each day of the calendar (31 of them), reflecting the offer of each day.
Below, you have a summary of the Challenge and Bonuses that take part in each day of the Christmas Calendar. These are all suggestions that can be changed manually by yourselves.

Configuring Rewards’ Bonuses

As part of this promotional package, a single “10 Free Spins” Bonus is preconfigured in your Generic Bonuses section as a base for you to work from. This particular Bonus is linked as the Reward players receive whenever they complete any of the Challenges in the Calendar.
To finish the setup, you need to create a unique Rewards Bonus for each day (you can clone the one that has already been created), and make sure to link the correct Bonus that you should have created in your Bonus Platform already.

🌎 Want to add translations? At the top of the Bonus Details page, you’ll see your Communication Profiles. Select the profile you want to translate and add the content. When you make a change, click Save. The Communication Profile icon will turn solid in colour.

Mapping your Games

Before you review the Challenges, make sure you can decide which Games contribute to each Challenge— and which don’t. As part of the Christmas Calendar, 13 Challenges require allowing only a specific set of Games or Providers (of your choice) to contribute toward completion. This is essential for optimal Campaign performance.
To do this, you must map your Games. For more information, read the Games documentation.
This may require checking how the Game Round event data is sent to us. Ensure you include GameName and VendorName in the data cluster.

Configure Rewards’ Challenges

In your pack, you’ll find a document with our suggested day-by-day Calendar plan — what each day should offer to add a gamification element for your players. To support this, 31 daily Challenges have been added and preconfigured in your Rewards.
To finish setting up these Challenges:
  1. Review the Challenge Terms and Conditions and make any necessary amendments.
  2. Set up the Challenge Validity.
  3. Configure any contributing/excluded Games (where applicable).
(Optional)
  1. Update or make changes to the Titles and Descriptions.
  2. Update the appearance with your own assets.
  3. Add additional Bonuses or change which Bonus is released upon completion.
If you’ve customised your Bonuses, make sure you select which Bonuses are released on Challenge completion accordingly.
For Challenges that use contributing/excluded Games: if you leave these fields blank, every Game will contribute to completing that Challenge.
🌎 Want to add translations? At the top of the Bonus Details page, you’ll see your Communication Profiles. Select the profile you want to translate and add the content. When you make a change, click Save. The Communication Profile icon will turn solid in colour.

Configure your Calendar

Now that your Challenges are configured, make sure everything looks correct from the Calendar side. The Calendar (“Santa’s Loot Drop”) is preconfigured with each day connected to its own Challenge and time setting. You can customise each door if you wish.
Here, you can change:
  1. Calendar’s Background Image
  2. Door Image
  3. Bonus released
  4. Calendar Door date range (how long it’s available to players)
For full steps, see the Calendar documentation.
Make sure your Calendar is set to Published before moving on — otherwise you won’t be able to add a menu item for it.

Add Calendar as a Menu item

Once your Calendar is fully configured, published, and ready to go, it's time to make it available from the Rewards Modal for your players.
Please read the documentation here on how to add Menu items.

Enable Rewards for Testing & Going Live

Now that your Calendar is fully set up, test everything to confirm it works as intended. When configuring a Bonus or a Challenge, use Test Bonus to credit the item to your Test Users.
When you’re ready, go live. Enable Rewards for all players — or limit to specific Communication Profiles— from Rewards > My Rewards.
Read in detail on how to go live right here.
👁️ Visibility reminder
When leaving a Communication Profile disabled/hidden, players belonging to that profile won’t see or access the Rewards section on your site.
