Tag and Remove Tag Actions 🏷‍

Player Tag and Remove Tag are Actions in FT CRM that let you label — or unlabel — players automatically, in exactly the same way you'd send them an email or credit a bonus. Once a player has been tagged, that tag becomes visible on their Player Profile and can be used as a filter condition when building Segments and Reports, making it a simple but powerful way to track and target specific groups of players over time.

How It Works ❓‍

Tagging works like any other Action in FT CRM: you add it to an Action Group within an Activity, and it fires for every player who meets that Activity's Trigger and Segment conditions — no different from how an Email or Credit Reward Action would fire.
  1. Tag applies one or more tags to the players the Activity reaches
  2. Remove Tag removes one or more tags from the players the Activity reaches
  3. Tags are not visible to players — they're an internal, partner-side labelling tool
  4. A player can hold multiple tags at once, applied by different Activities over time
  5. Because tagging is just another Action, it can run alongside other Actions in the same Action Group (for example, sending an email and tagging the player in the same Activity)

Adding a Tag or Remove Tag Action ✅‍

When creating an Activity or a Lifecycle, navigate to the Action Group where you want to apply the tag. Click + Add Action and select Tag (or Remove Tag) from the list of Action types
When using Tag Player, simply write in the text field the Tag you wish to create:
Tag Player Action
Tag Player Action
When using Remove Tag, select the Tag you wish to remove from the dropdown:
Remove Tag Action
Remove Tag Action
When you are done you can save the Action, then publish the Activity as usual.
Once the Activity fires, every player who meets the Trigger and Segment criteria will have the selected tag applied (or removed) automatically.

Where Tags Show Up 🔍‍

On the Player Profile, Every tag currently applied to a player is visible directly on their Player Profile, giving CRM and support teams instant, at-a-glance context on that player without needing to dig through campaign history.
In Segments, Tags can be used as a filter condition in the Segment Rule Builder, so you can build a Segment of Tags (inside FT CRM) equals X and target them with a future Activity — for example, following up with players tagged as "High Value" or excluding players tagged "Do Not Contact."
In Reports, Tags are also available as a filter in player-level reporting, letting you break down performance or player counts by tag.

Common Use Cases

  1. Flagging VIP or high-value players — apply a tag via a Lifecycle or Trigger-based Activity when a player crosses a deposit threshold, then use that tag to target future Activities.
  2. Marking campaign participation — tag players who received a specific promotion, so you can measure or follow up with that exact group later.
  3. Temporary states — apply a tag when a player enters a certain state (e.g. "Pending Verification") and use Remove Tag in a follow-up Activity once that state changes.

Tips & Best Practices ℹ‍

  1. Keep tag names short and consistent — a clear naming convention (e.g. prefixing by team or purpose) makes them much easier to manage as the list grows.
  2. Pair Tag and Remove Tag Activities together when a tag represents a temporary state, so players don't stay mislabelled after the state has changed.
  3. Because tags are just another Action, they can be added to an existing Activity without needing a separate campaign — a quick way to add tracking to a live flow!
